Dutch Cave at Forest Park Ir. Juanda

Forest Park Ir. Juanda at Bandung city was popular. Originally the area which is now designated as Forest Park Ir. H. Juanda is a stretch of mountains from West to East which is a "natural giant water tank" for backup in the dry season. One of the popular thing is The Dutch Cave. The watershed area Cikapundung in Forest Park Ir. H. Juanda built during the Dutch occupation hydroelectric power plant (HEPP) Crooked which is the first hydropower plant in Indonesia in 1918, where the tunnel passing tuffaceous sandstone hills.

On Dutch occupation, this hills was very interesting for military strategic because the location is protected and so close with foursquare of Bandung city. Ahead World War II on begining 1941 military activity of Dutch was increasing. In the tunnel for HEPP Bengkok with long 144 meters and wide 1,8 meters there are 15 caves and 2 doors as high as 3,2 meters. The width which was using for the cave is 0,6 hectar and widely throughout the tunnel 548 meters. Beside for military activties this cave used for Radio Telecomunication Station Dutch because radio station on Malabar Mountain open from the air it was hard to protected it from air aggression.

That was the history. Now I would tell you about my story. When I was in junior high school I have tasks to visited many places in Bandung for Report. So I and my friends went to Dutch Cave which was one of our destinastions. Badly we were not bring flashlight. So we had to rent

it. The price is 3000 rupiahs for a little flashlight. Because we just 2 groups : 8 person and no guide. When we got in we already scared and just keep going in a hurry And when I out from the cave I exposed caterpillars

60th Asia Africa Conference

          On April 23th 2015 in our country Indonesia we have a big event which is are just every 10 years or decade we officially celebrate it with many countries. That is 60th of Asia  Africa Conference since 1955. That happen in Bandung,18 – 24 April 1955 at Merdeka Building. This conference was between countries in Asia and Africa but a few countries from Latin America with intention to  make promoting relations in economies and cultures and to attack neocolinialisme United States, Uni Soviet, or other imperialist countries.

        Asia Africa Conference was coordinated by Indonesia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Indonesia , Sunario. 29 countries which is represent more than half citizens in world  sent their  delegates.

          We as Bandung citizens celebrate it by played angklung with 20,000 people together in the same time. at once to come through Indonesian Record (MURI) and World Record Book. It was happen at Siliwangi Stadium, Bandung. My friends and me were include in it. So on Thursday we came to the stadium and get some line there. A lot of people were there. Start with student until journalism were there. So crowded. Made me felt oxygen less. But finally I can come in.

         All of the people there get an angklung to play together. And then there was a guide for us to play angklung and how to play it. We play We Are the World Song to come through the record. And finally we got it.

         On the event we were collecting the trash of us and a little from other participants. We were happy  but we got sunburn!!! It was hurt our skin and made us like a panda LOL. After that we back to school again.

Hello! Let me introduce you with Monica Sylvia Permatasari Santoso! Are you surprised? Yeah she is my sister! She is 19 years old. And now she is study at Communication Dept. , Indonesia University of Education. She just began her study there 2 years ago. So it means she in semester 4 now.

She in Scout

She has many hobbies. One of it is join Scouting even in her age. She began join Scout  since she was in junior high school. She likes hiking, climbing, and camping. She excellent in basic electrical too like fixed some electronic like iron at home LOL. Collecting and sending postcard is her hobbies too and also selling it!

There is an organization which as known as “Sobat Budaya” it means Culture’s friends but it’s name, it’s better for you to keep call it  Sobat Budaya. This organization hopes “Can Conserve Indonesian Culture to Prevent Claiming Our Culture from Other Country” . This organization had make many events too which is engaged in the field of culture.

And my sister was join that organization too. Her position as funrising. Her job is looking fund especially if there is an event. She so expert for that job. You can see how she work for her store”postnication”.

 Hallo! Meet me again as student of 3 Senior High School Bandung, Indonesia. I would tell you:

On Februari 21^st there is an event. That is Opening of Dewa Athena! What is it? Dewa Athena is (singkatan) from Olimpiade Siswa: Ajang Tunjuk Kebolehan, Kekompakan, dan Eksistensi Siswa or in english is Students Olympic Games for Event Show Permissibility, Compactness, and the existence of Students. The first activity is color run. Before we started the activities, the students were ordered to use white T-shirt which is can be coloured. The activity it is like you run together like in festival but you run around some route. The route was Bali Street - Belitung - Sumatera - Aceh - Saparua - Ambon - Banda - Belitung and went back again to Bali Street.

And when you arrived at the Bali street again especially The Bali field you would greet by water colours. After that we continue with the first game. It is girls football. And then girls dodgeball, and badminton for boy and girl. Well we didn't win in football and dodgeball games but we won in badminton! Thanks to Ghina and Halim who played it.

           But I want to tell you sadly I couldn’t attend the opening. Why because I have to join with my other friends in Debate Competition. Where is it? It is at Padjajaran University Jatinangor. The competition was begin from eight o’clock. Our school was sent two team for this competition. I’m included Team B. The two team was through to next round for the first but fot the second round we gave to fight our team, Team A. Finally we fight with sad and happy and the winner is ... Team A!! The judges also hard to choose but they choose Team A for the winner! And our score just different is 2 points! I’m sad but happy for that decision. So our Team A qualify to big eight!! Because it was a long time the competition for Team A was continue for the next day. And the next day I still came to watch our team. But tragic the first round on that day we were ... lose so we have go home early. But that was awesome! I was happy to be one of participant there. Both of the event was fun but it was in the same time...

On February, 14th 2015 I and my all class mates have to made a advertisement, noticed, or announcement. And I have make one! Like what? This is it 

 

I draw it with pencil and finishing  it with crayon  It’s interesting, doesn’t it?

That is a chocolate and a piece of chocolate. And  in that picture  there’s a letter : ‘SAVE OUR BRAIN WITH CHOCOLATE’. Why I choose chocolate? Because many scientist say that chocolate is good for stress solutions. Beside of the delicious tastes, the calories are good for us who if she/he is in depressed haven’t eat the calories will help recovery health immediately. But for us who have surplus with calories don’t eat chocolate too much or you can try low fat chocolate milkshake

So let’s save our brain with happiness from chocolate You will not in the badmood again trust me it works!
